The SME Education Foundation maintains a thriving network of SME PRIME schools across the country.
As part of its long-term commitment to developing and training the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent, the Foundation provides fully developed SME PRIME schools with funding – annually – to help ensure they have the resources they need to sustain and grow their respective SME PRIME programs.
After initial SME PRIME program development, SME PRIME schools are eligible to apply for SME PRIME Sustainability Grants – cash awards that are issued annually to assist schools with various costs, including but not limited to supplementing professional development, procuring new equipment, maintaining or servicing existing equipment, purchasing supplies, and facilitating student engagement activities, etc.
SME PRIME Sustainability Grants are perhaps the most exciting and unique component of SME PRIME.
Not only does the Foundation develop custom manufacturing and engineering programs, it also sustains these programs well into the future!
